Entergy Louisiana is pleased to announce that the St. Charles Power Station commenced commercial operation on May 23. The 980-megawatt power station is one of the cleanest natural gas-powered plants in Entergy Louisiana’s fleet.

A $2 million grant to Southern University from Entergy and the Entergy Charitable Foundation will support classroom and lab infrastructure improvements, as well as curriculum and faculty professional development for the university’s engineering program.
Entergy Louisiana provided a $105,000 grant to the South Louisiana Economic Council as part of the company’s efforts to support regional economic development across the state.
Entergy Corporation and River Parishes Community College have collaborated to create a training center on the school’s Gonzales campus.
